Football star Cooper Kupp, most valuable player (MVP) in Super Bowl 2022, is joining the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. The club announced the move on its homepage. The wide receiver is coming from division rivals the Los Angeles Rams, who parted ways with him after eight years during the week.
Kupp is thus returning home; the 31-year-old was born in Yakima in the US state of Washington and played college ball for Eastern Washington University. “Washington back on my chest. Let’s go!!!!!”, the pass receiver wrote on X.
According to media reports, Kupp is set to receive a three-year contract worth $45 million from the Seahawks. In the Rams’ triumph in Super Bowl LVI (56) against the Cincinnati Bengals (23-20), Kupp scored two touchdowns, including the decisive one shortly before the end.
