NFL Draft 2025: Top ratings, large audience in Green Bay

The 2025 NFL Draft significantly topped last year’s TV ratings. Only once before has an NFL Draft attracted more viewers to their TV sets.

The 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay was watched by an average of 7.5 million viewers on ESPN, ABC, NFL Network, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, and digital channels during the three-day event.

This made it the second most-watched draft in history, with a 27 percent increase over the previous year.

The NFL Draft only achieved higher ratings in 2020. However, this is likely to be related to the coronavirus pandemic at the time, as people lacked alternative entertainment during lockdown.

All seven rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft were broadcast on ESPN, ABC, and NFL Network. This is the seventh consecutive year that the Walt Disney Company has partnered with the National Football League to offer a cross-network presentation of the draft.

Thursday’s coverage of the first round averaged 13.6 million viewers. This is an 11 percent increase over 2024 and marks the second-most-watched first round of the draft in history.

Friday’s broadcast of rounds two and three averaged 7.5 million viewers, up 48 percent from 2024. Saturday’s broadcast of rounds four through seven averaged 4.3 million viewers, making it the most-watched Day Three in history. This represents a 43 percent increase over last year.

Over the three days, more than 600,000 fans attended the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay. Together with the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, this is the second-highest total ever. Only the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit attracted more spectators (775,000).
