NFL star Amon-Ra St. Brown is currently working on his comeback after successful surgery. He has a clear goal for the coming season.
Preparations for the upcoming season are in full swing at the Detroit Lions. Superstar Amon-Ra St. Brown is currently recovering from knee surgery but is expected to rejoin team training in a few weeks.
The ambitious wide receiver has been one of the franchise’s top performers for years. His expectations for the upcoming season are correspondingly high.
In an interview with ESPN, St. Brown said: “It’s simple: we want to win the Super Bowl. Anything else would be a disappointment.”
Of course, they have to make the playoffs first, but the goal for the season is to win the Super Bowl.
Lions must cushion departures
On the way there, however, the Lions will have to do without some important personnel. Head coach Dan Campbell had to say goodbye to his two coordinators, Ben Johnson (OC) and Aaron Glenn (DC), both of whom have been given head coaching positions.
On the field, center Frank Ragnow will be missing, having recently ended his career in a surprise move. Should the Lions make another run at the top, St. Brown is likely to play a decisive role.
He racked up 1,263 receiving yards in the regular season. His twelve touchdowns were a career best for the California native. St. Brown signed a four-year contract last year that could earn him up to $120 million.
The Lions failed in the divisional round last season and were eliminated in the conference championships the year before. The Lions have never reached the Super Bowl.
