Matt Nagy was unable to get time off after his Corona infection, the Chicago Bears head coach will miss Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Chicago – The Chicago Bears will have to do without their head coach Matt Nagy for Sunday’s home game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The 43-year-old remains in Corona protocol after testing positive earlier this week. Special Teams Coordinator Chris Tabor will take over the head coaching job on Sunday.
Nagy has been quarantined since Monday
The Bears had announced on Monday that Nagy had been found positive during a routine test. As a result, Nagy had immediately quarantined himself.
Since all coaches in the NFL have to be vaccinated, Nagy could have been cleared if he had submitted two negative tests within 48 hours. This obviously did not work out.
