Bijan Robinson is one of the Atlanta Falcons’ best offensive players. Unsurprisingly, the Falcons have now picked up the fifth-year option on the running back’s contract.
Bijan Robinson undoubtedly left his mark on the 2025 NFL season. The running back, who is also a strong option in the passing game, led the league with 2298 scrimmage yards.
Not surprisingly, the Falcons rewarded the 24-year-old’s dominant performances by activating the fifth-year option in his contract. This means that Robinson is under contract in Atlanta until the end of the 2027 season. The option will earn Robinson 11.3 million dollars in the season after next.
Robinson was drafted eighth in the first round by the Falcons in 2023. Prior to that, he was considered the best running back prospect in recent memory.
Bijan Robinson voted All-Pro
In his first season, he was unable to fully live up to these expectations, despite over 1,400 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns. In his second year, he finally made his breakthrough with 14 rushing touchdowns alone.
This number was halved in 2025, but he set career bests in almost all other categories. As a reward, Robinson was named first-team All-Pro at the running back position and also received a nomination as second-team All-Pro as an all-purpose player.
