During the draft, in which he was selected in the fourth round at number 112, his girlfriend had a very special task. She was supposed to count the receivers in the draft who were drafted to a team before him.

According to a report by the Star Tribune, the 22-year-old is said to have lost around $240,000. Turner fell for a scam in which someone posed as a representative of Chase Bank. This person convinced him that a third party was using his identity at a branch in Arizona.

The NFL star then transferred the money to “secure accounts.” It was only later that he realized he had been scammed.

The police are now working hard to find the fraudster, and suspects have reportedly already been identified. Charges are now being filed.

This number is famously held by starting quarterback Jared Goff. However, the faux pas never led to a dispute over the number 16.

Goff joined the team from the Los Angeles Rams in the same year. At the time of the draft and the number decisions, 16 would therefore still have been available for the German-American.

Regardless of this, Goff and St. Brown together form the center of one of the most successful offenses of the last three seasons.
