New York Giants: Sauce Gardner has a hard time praising Daniel Jones

Before the New York Jets’ final preseason game against the New York Giants, Sauce Gardner was asked about Daniel Jones. He wants to praise him, but has a hard time doing so

It was a really awkward moment for everyone involved at the New York Jets press conference.

After the joint practice with the New York Giants, cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner answered questions from the media. He was also asked about Daniel Jones, the Giants’ quarterback, who is a controversial figure among fans and experts.

Aware of this, Gardner probably didn’t want to offer any room for attack and praised the playmaker. “He’s a really good quarterback,” he said.

But when he tried to continue, he stammered and couldn’t find the right words. “So… you know what I mean? Well… Yeah. It was fun practicing today. I don’t really know what to say,” the former first-round pick struggled for words.

When the cornerback was quickly cut out of the press conference, he felt compelled to clarify on “X.”

“I told you he was a good quarterback. got distracted by something in the middle. Calm down,” he tweeted a little later. “So that’s how memes are born,” he wrote in a subsequent post.

The Jets and the Giants face each other in the final preseason game. Whether Gardner and Jones will play has not yet been determined.
