New York Giants have 13 team members testing positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. Further tests show better results, but one top star remains affected
Munich – Corona swirl at the New York Giants.
On Wednesday, Head Coach Joe Judge announced at a press conference that a total of 13 members of the team had tested positive for Covid-19 a day earlier.
In the retests, most of those affected tested negative, but not all. Running back coach Burton Burns, who celebrated his 69th birthday last week, was among those who tested positive again.
Barkley positive despite vaccination
In addition, a total of three players were unable to practice Wednesday due to the league’s Covid protocols. Running back Saquon Barkley, safety Xavier McKinney and guard Matt Skura were affected.
Barkley and McKinney were further placed on the Covid list by the Giants. According to insider Ralph Vacchiano, both tested positive again.
For superstar Barkley, because of his vaccination, two negative tests within 24 hours would be enough for him to return to the team. McKinney’s vaccination status is not known.
Incidentally, head coach Judge’s press conference was held in a car park due to stricter Corona rules.
