New Orleans Saints: Jury indicts Alvin Kamara on assault charges.

It’s getting serious for Alvin Kamara. A grand jury indicts him and other men. The New Orleans Saints running back is facing assault charges

Alvin Kamara is facing a stiff sentence.

The New Orleans Saints running back has been indicted by a Las Vegas grand jury for an incident during last year’s Pro Bowl weekend.

Kamara and three other men, including cornerback Chris Lammons of the Cincinnati Bengals, now face charges of conspiracy to commit assault and battery causing substantial property damage.

The defendants are accused of punching, kicking and injuring another man after he and Kamara got into an argument outside a hotel lift.

Kamara must stand trial

“The state has avoided a contentious preliminary hearing in which Mr Kamara was charged,” his legal team responded in a statement.

“He intends to vigorously fight the charges in court as he was defending himself and others at the time of the incident.”

Necessary hearings have been repeatedly postponed over the past twelve months, with a court date now set for early March in Las Vegas District Court.
