After Aaron Rodgers, the next experienced quarterback in the NFL professional football league has probably suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and is thus facing a long break. Kirk Cousins (35) of the Minnesota Vikings injured himself on Sunday in the game at the Green Bay Packers (24:10).
“We’re concerned about an Achilles tendon injury. We’ll confirm that as soon as possible,” said head coach Kevin O’Connell. An MRI scan is expected to provide an accurate diagnosis.
Cousins walked off the field banged up and was then carted to the locker room. Rookie quarterback Jaren Hall filled in for the veteran. Rodgers had torn his Achilles tendon less than five minutes into his debut for the New York Jets in mid-September.
