Los Angeles Rams: Von Miller wants to emulate NBA legends with Aaron Donald

After the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl parade, Von Miller reveals that he wants to return to the Rams together with Aaron Donald. They are planning big things in Los Angeles similar to the legendary NBA duo of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant.

Munich – On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams paraded through the streets of Los Angeles after successfully winning the Super Bowl. The guarantors for the celebrations in the City of Angels in the first place were defensive specialists Von Miller and Aaron Donald.

After rumours initially circulated that Donald would end his career with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals, it now appears that he will stay with the Rams for at least one more season.

These rumours have now been fuelled by statements from teammate Von Miller.

According to TMZ Sports, the linebacker confirmed on Wednesday that Donald and he will return for the 2022 season. However, Miller, who is currently a free agent, is said to be demanding contract extensions from other stars like Odell Beckham Jr. as a condition of returning.

Team to be kept together – comparisons with Shaq and Kobe

That the Rams team will be kept together as much as possible was already confirmed by head coach Sean McVay during the parade. So a return of the two defensive stars seems quite possible at the moment.

Two-time Super Bowl winner Miller is also reported to have said that he and Donald want to be to the Rams what Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant are to the Lakers.

What he means by this is that the legendary NBA duo Bryant and O’Neal won three NBA championships in a row with the Los Angeles Lakers between 2000 and 2002. So for a comparable success story, Miller and Donald would have to hang on for at least two more years with the Rams.
