Jimmy Garoppolo, who was recently released by the Las Vegas Raiders, looks set to sign with the LA Rams.
After Jimmy Garoppolo was recently let go by the Las Vegas Raiders, the quarterback’s future team has now been decided. According to consistent reports from “NFL Network” and “Fox Sports”, the 32-year-old has agreed a one-year contract with the LA Rams and will act as backup to Matthew Stafford in the future.
Garoppolo was not really convincing in the pre-season in Las Vegas. The veteran even ended up on the bench during the season, while rookie Aidan O’Connell was given preference as starting quarterback under interim head coach Antonio Pierce.
In addition, Garoppolo was suspended by the NFL at the start of 2024 for a violation of the doping guidelines. The quarterback must sit out two games at the start of the coming season and also pay a fine of 1.25 million US dollars.
After the New England Patriots, the San Francisco 49ers and the Raiders, the Rams would be the fourth NFL franchise for which Garoppolo, a two-time Super Bowl winner, is active.
