Los Angeles Rams: Cooper Kupp to miss first four games of season.

Bad news for the Los Angeles Rams. The franchise will have to do without star receiver Cooper Kupp for at least the first four game days

What has been looming recently is now fact: The Los Angeles Rams have placed Cooper Kupp on the Injured Reserve list.

This makes it clear that the star receiver will not be used for at least the first four game days of the new NFL season.

Kupp struggled with injuries on and off, especially last season. In 2022, the pass receiver played in only nine games before suffering a serious ankle injury that required surgery.

For several weeks, however, the 2021 Super Bowl MVP has been plagued by problems in his thigh and knee. It appears to be a hamstring strain, which Rams head coach Sean McVay says is “anything but ordinary”.

This lengthy injury, which Kupp has been suffering from for weeks, will now cost him not only the start of the season, but at least four games.

This is, after all, the NFL’s rule when players are placed on the IR list.

But the Rams want to give their star player the time to recover from this complex “hamstring” injury. Especially since the 30-year-old suffered the injury shortly after making his comeback from the ankle injury.

Kupp missing against Seahawks, 49ers, Bengals and Colts

Extremely bitter for the entire team as well. Kupp is the quintessential target player for the Rams offense. Now quarterback Matthew Stafford will have to throw to other targets in the first four games.

The first game LA will have to do without their star receiver is away to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday (10:25pm). Kupp will also be missing against the San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts.

Other receivers on the Rams’ roster include Van Jefferson, Tutu Atwell, Puka Nacua, Ben Skowronek and Demarcus Robinson. Tight end Tyler Higbee is also expected to be more of a playmaker again.
