The Los Angeles Rams bind a second mainstay to their team long-term after Aaron Donald. Cooper Kupp also receives a record contract with the Californians.
Los Angeles/Munich – The Los Angeles Rams have further signed a key pillar of their team.
As the franchise announced on Thursday, wide receiver Cooper Kupp extended his contract by three years. According to media reports, he will receive 80 million dollars, 75 million of which are guaranteed. In total, Kupp’s contract, which still has five years to run, is worth 110 million dollars.
It is the highest guaranteed sum a wide receiver has ever received in the history of the NFL.

“I’m very happy to come back to L.A. and stay for the long haul. It’s going to be an incredible journey. I can’t wait,” Kupp said in a statement. Last season, Kupp was the leader in catches with 145 apiece for 1,947 yards.
Rams with numerous contract extensions
On top of that, he caught two touchdown passes in the Super Bowl and was named MVP.
Kupp is the Rams’ second major contract extension this week, following defensive tackle Aaron Donald’s record-setting contract earlier in the week. Matthew Stafford, Bobby Wagner and Allen Robinson II also had their contracts extended earlier in the offseason.
