The Green Bay Packers have signed another German with kicker Dominik Eberle. The native of Nuremberg will have to face a duel with a legend.
Munich – The Green Bay Packers have signed another German.
As the Packers announced, kicker Dominik Eberle gets a contract with the franchise from Wisconsin. After EQ St. Brown, Eberle is the second German in the team’s ranks.
“It’s incredible that I can now be a part of such a traditional team,” said Eberle to “Sport1”: “I’m already looking forward to becoming a Cheesehead and living in Green Bay. I’m looking forward to the first game, to the preseason, to training camp. I’m going to give it my all and then we’ll see what comes out of it. “
Eberle ahead of duel with legend Crosby
Eberle expects a duel with kicking legend Mason Crosby (37) at last season’s play-off participant, who weakened from time to time last season.

Eberle spent his college days at Utah State and was not drafted in the 2020 NFL Draft. He then signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he was on the practice squad. Last season he was on the practice squad for the Carolina Panthers and the Houston Texans.
He took the field for the Texans in Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers, hitting two of three field goals and all five extra points. The highlight for the native of Nuremberg was a field goal from 51 yards.
