Green Bay Packers beat Minnesota Vikings and have playoff spot in their own hands

The Green Bay Packers dominate their divisional rivals Minnesota Vikings and now have the best chance of making the playoffs. Jordan Love had a strong evening.

The Green Bay Packers bowed out of 2023 with a gala performance and have their sights firmly set on a playoff spot after a statement win over the Minnesota Vikings.

Led by a very strong Jordan Love, the Packers celebrated a clear 33:10 away win at the Vikings to clinch the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC. Heading into the final week of the regular season, Green Bay has its fate in its own hands.

Love completed 24 of his 33 passes for 256 yards and threw three touchdowns – two to Jayden Reed and one to Bo Melton. The Vikings couldn’t keep up with Love, who gave rookie Jaren Hall a chance to prove himself but was sacked after 67 passing yards and an interception with 3:23 left in the half.

His replacement Nick Mullens did better, throwing the only Vikings touchdown of the game to receiver Johnny Mundt, but was unable to turn the game around.

With a record of 7-9, Minnesota now only has a very theoretical chance of making the playoffs and will need help from several teams in the coming week

In Week 18, the Vikings are away to the Detroit Lions, who may still be in contention for the No. 2 seed in the NFC. The Packers, on the other hand, host the Chicago Bears and would be a lock for the postseason with a win
