Green Bay Packers: Aaron Rodgers wants to make a decision “quickly”

By being voted MVP again, Aaron Rodgers took centre stage at the NFL Honours. And with it, automatically, his athletic future.

Munich – Green Bay Packers fans won’t have to wait long. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers does not want to let the question of his future become a hanging matter.

He confirmed that at the NFL Honors, where he was named NFL MVP for the second year in a row and the fourth time overall.

Aaron Rodgers wants to enjoy the next few weeks

“I’ve got some decisions to make for sure,” Rodgers said on NFL Network. “Yesterday was the first day that kind of felt like the offseason. I’m going to enjoy the next couple of weeks. I’ve had some good conversations with Green Bay and I’m going to do some thinking and then make a decision quickly.”

He had already declared before the start of free agency in mid-March that he wants to let the cat out of the bag on whether and where he will continue to play after the bitter playoff exit to the San Francisco 49ers. The options are a return to Green Bay, an early career end or a trade.

Interesting in this context is the addition that the talks with the Packers had been good. The praise for coach Matt LaFleur could also be interpreted as an indication of a possible stay.

“I’m a big believer that he’s coming back. I can’t imagine him anywhere else but Green Bay, he’s been here his whole career,” running back Aaron Jones said.
