What’s next for quarterback superstar Aaron Rodgers? The Green Bay Packers and the MVP’s advisors are reportedly currently negotiating a deal that would see the signal caller become the top earner.
Green Bay/Munich – Quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ future decision has yet to be made, but the Green Bay Packers are already planning for the superstar to stay.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that Rodgers’ advisor and the Packers are already working on a deal should the MVP decide to stay in Wisconsin.
Will Rodgers become the top earner?
According to the report, this is a short-term deal, but it should make Rodgers the highest-paid player in the league within a year. So far, that’s Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills at $47 million annually. Rodgers last collected just over 27 million dollars, so he would have to get a salary increase of at least 20 million dollars.
The new contract, however, has not yet been negotiated.
So far, Rodgers has not commented on his future. In addition to staying with the Packers, he could also call for a trade or end his career.
