Rookie quarterback Sean Clifford of the Green Bay Packers has received a special honour. As part of an event for league rookies, he met with Aaron Rodgers and received a special gift from the Packers legend
Aaron Rodgers has since left Green Bay, but to say goodbye, the star quarterback had a special gift for Packers rookie Sean Clifford.
Clifford, also a quarterback and drafted in the fifth round in this year’s draft, received a signed jersey from the Packers legend as well as two photos of Rodgers. On the jersey, the 39-year-old wrote: “Sean – welcome to GB! Enjoy this great city and my locker room. “
Traditional NFLPA Rookie Event
The 24-year-old tweeted a photo with the three paraphernalia, writing, “Not a bad housewarming gift. Thanks!” Clifford was one of 45 rookies to participate in the traditional rookie event hosted by the NFLPA players’ union and get to interact with seasoned pros around the league.

A new era has dawned in Green Bay this offseason. Rodgers has left the franchise after nearly 18 years and joined the New York Jets. Jordan Love is expected to follow in his footsteps with the Packers. Clifford should have little chance at snaps.
