Dominik Eberle can hope to continue his NFL career. In an interview with author Mike Stiefelhagen, the kicker confirmed a tryout with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
On 2 October Dominik Eberle made his NFL debut, but just two days later he was released by the Detroit Lions.
In the 45:48 loss against the Seattle Seahawks, the kicker from Nuremberg had missed two extra points and kicked a kickoff out of bounds.
But now there is hope that the 26-year-old free agent could return to the NFL.
“It’s not official yet,” Eberle continued, “They’re waiting for the business managers to make the decisions. Let’s see if there will be a contract. ”
Dominik Eberle: Next stop Tampa Bay?
Eberle, who moved with his parents from Großhaslach to California at the age of 14, was initially left out of the 2020 NFL Draft.
A short time later, however, the Las Vegas Raiders signed him, then he tried his luck with the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers, before finally being allowed to make his NFL debut with the Detroit Lions.
Now his career could continue with the Buccaneers, who lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round on Tuesday night.
