Detroit Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown rants about Chicago Bears: ‘Worst fanbase’ in NFL

Amon-Ra St. Brown made fun of Chicago Bears supporters in attendance at the draft in a podcast with his brother Equanimeous.

Amon-Ra St. Brown doesn’t seem to think too highly of Chicago Bears fans. The Detroit Lions wide receiver went off on “The 33rd Team” podcast about the supporters who were on hand in Kansas City for the 2023 NFL Draft.

“Worst fan base ever. So on their cell phones. Just tired. You see the Lions next to them. Just fired up, fired up. They got up and you guys sat down,” the pass receiver commented on a video he took during the talent show.

His brother, who plays for those same Bears, naturally saw it differently and defended the restrained reactions of the supporters. “Because they put so much energy into celebrating our picks,” the older of the two brothers made clear. With that, however, he directly offered Amon-Ra the next teaser, who was now amused by the selected Bears players.

“Darnell Wright – I know you’re not super happy about that. Gervon Dexter – they don’t even know who that is. Tyrique Stevenson – they don’t even know who that is. Zacch Pickens – they don’t even know who that is,” the 23-year-old didn’t hold back.

However, there was much less criticism of the Bears’ draft than the Lions’. While Chicago specifically addressed their own weaknesses, the Lions selected running back Jahmyr Gibbs and linebacker Jack Campbell in the first round. The selection of these players, who are not at home at premium positions, caused much incomprehension afterwards.
