Amon-Ra St. Brown is about to play the biggest game of his NFL career so far. Ahead of the playoff clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Detroit Lions wide receiver is playing it cool
The big showdown at Ford Field is coming up on Sunday, when the Detroit Lions host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round.
Amon-Ra St. Brown will once again play a key role for the home side.
The German-American wide receiver is having another strong season and also delivered in last weekend’s 24-23 win over the Los Angeles Rams. In the first round of the playoffs, St. Brown caught seven passes for 110 yards.
It will be up to him again against the convincing Bucs secondary. However, the Lions star, who according to the German Press Agency has bought 27 tickets for the game, is apparently hardly feeling any tension.
“Of course you can tell that it’s something special. But I’m not nervous,” the 24-year-old is quoted as saying and also emphasized how satisfied he is at the moment: “I wouldn’t want to swap with any other team now. I feel very comfortable here. “
The championship game beckons for the Detroit Lions and Amon-Ra St. Brown
Shortly after being selected in the 2021 draft, he had the feeling that something could develop with the then newly installed head coach Dan Campbell and the new playmaker Jared Goff.
He was right – and now has the opportunity to reach the NFC Championship Game with his team for the first time in over 30 years.
