Dallas Cowboys: Is Micah Parsons moving to the offensive line?

Micah Parsons is one of the best linebackers in the NFL. But in practice, the Dallas Cowboys pro also tries out a position on the other side of the ball.

Will Micah Parsons soon be catching passes from quarterback Dak Prescott for the Dallas Cowboys?

As the linebacker revealed on the “Pat McAfee Show”, he keeps taking snaps as a tight end in practice.

“Big Mike actually lets me play some sessions with the scout team as a tight end. He probably doesn’t want you guys to know that. I shouldn’t have blabbed that,” the 24-year-old said.

The 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year wouldn’t be the first star defender to also suit up for his team’s offense.

For instance, pass rusher J.J. Watt came on and off as a tight end for the Houston Texans in 2014 and 2015, scoring multiple touchdowns.

Potential absolutely exists with Parsons

But the most successful was probably superstar cornerback Deion Sanders, who caught a total of 60 passes for 784 yards for Dallas and the Atlanta Falcons.

Whether Parsons will really follow in the footsteps of his famous predecessors is not clear, but he should have the potential given his already enormously successful NFL career.

He earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro nominations in each of the first two years of his career.
