Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott is “in the shape of his life”.

Ahead of the start of training camps in the NFL, Dak Prescott, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys talks about the upcoming season. And the soon-to-be 29-year-old says he feels better than he ever has.

Munich/Dallas – There are only a few weeks left until the new NFL season starts. On the night of September 9, the Buffalo Bills and the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams will face each other to open the season.

For Dak Prescott, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, however, it could start right now.

On the sidelines of a training camp organised for children, the 28-year-old spoke about the upcoming season.

Prescott confident: “I’m in the shape of my life “

“I’m incredibly excited about it,” Prescott said, according to the Cowboys’ website. “Having the kids here asking me about my teammates or the team just adds to the anticipation!”

After the mini-camps, there are already signs that Prescott is ready for big things. “After a couple of weeks already, I’m in the shape of my life. For me, I could be ready to go,” said the signal caller.

The reason? “It’s probably because I’ve hired a personal trainer. Whether it’s training or holidays, he’s always with me lately,” he blabbed.

He has been working especially on his flexibility and his so-called release – how quickly the ball leaves his hand during a throwing motion. “I notice that, too,” Prescott said. “I see how I move and how the ball comes out now.”

Last season, he had 410 passes received (68.8 percent) and 37 touchdown passes, all career highs for the quarterback drafted in 2016.

The Cowboys start week one with a home game against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it’s a rematch of the opening game of 2021.
