Dak Prescott: Successes of Mavericks, Stars and Rangers put “damn pressure” on Cowboys

Pro sports teams around Dallas are currently delivering gloriously, except for one: the Dallas Cowboys. The pressure on the NFL franchise is growing

Dallas in the US state of Texas is currently one of the hottest sports cities in the United States. One professional team after another is delivering glorious results. Last November, the Texas Rangers in the MLB won the World Series for the first time.

In the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks are currently battling it out in the Western Conference Finals for a place in the NBA Finals. At 2:0 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, things are looking excellent thanks to two away wins.

Things are also going well in the NHL, with the Dallas Stars taking on Leon Draisaitl’s Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Finals. The current series score after two games in the Texan metropolis: 1:1.

Only one professional team is unable to keep up with all the conference finals: the Dallas Cowboys. As is well known, “America’s Team” was eliminated from the NFL playoffs after a 32:48 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round.

All the success of the other teams has not left the Cowboys unscathed.

Cowboys have been waiting 28 years for the Championship Game

And not without reason! While the region’s NBA, NHL and MLB teams have made it to the Conference Finals, the Cowboys have been waiting 28 years.

“It’s not jealousy, but it spurs you on. I want it for them. Go out there and win. The Rangers did it, I want the other two to do it too. Put some more damn pressure on us,” Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said.

By the way: The Cowboys were in the conference championship game 16 times in the first 30 Super Bowls, and not once in the 28 after that.
