Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys mostly failed to live up to expectations in the playoffs. No one is more annoyed about this than he is.
Dak Prescott is considered a quarterback who performs consistently well in the regular season but struggles in the playoffs. His 2-5 record in knockout games underscores this. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback is aware of the criticism.
“Criticism is part of the job. It comes with the $60 million. It is what it is. And if I were sensitive to the truth, then I would have a problem with life,” the 31-year-old told ProFootballTalk.
“No one is more upset, no one is angrier, no one is more disappointed about this than me. No one wants to win more than I do. I prove that in what I do, in my work hours and in my preparation habits,“ he said.
Prescott self-critical: ”Quarterbacks are paid to fill gaps“
”I understand that it’s a team game, but at the end of the day, the quarterback is paid to fill those gaps,“ the top earner continues: ”When the team isn’t playing well, the quarterback has to respond and get the team back on track. And have I done that when it was necessary? Absolutely not in these crucial moments. If I had, the record wouldn’t be 2-5.”
Prescott is “a realist” when he states these facts: “However, I know what I’ve put into this game. I’m doing all of this for a purpose. And if I’m going through tough times, it just means it’s preparing me for future challenges.”
