Cooper Kupp Wants OBJ Back With Rams: ‘Would Be The Coolest’

Cooper Kupp would like to see free agent Odell Beckham Jr. return to the Los Angeles Rams. The wide receiver publicly raves about top pass receiver OBJ, but he’s coming off a torn ACL.

Munich – He remains one of the hottest personnel in Free Agency: Odell Beckham Jr. whose future remains unclear. Now ex-teammate Cooper Kupp has spoken out and wants OBJ to play for the Los Angeles Rams again.

Speaking to “ESPN”, Kupp said he was in daily communication with OBJ. “It would just be the coolest thing if he re-signs with the Rams,” the wide receiver said of his position-mate.

OBJ suffered torn ACL in Super Bowl

Beckham was instrumental in Los Angeles’ Super Bowl triumph and was a key factor in their 23-20 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals before tearing his ACL through no fault of his own. The pass receiver then became a free agent after the season, which is still Beckham’s status.

Most recently, defensive end Myles Garrett wanted to encourage OBJ to return to the Cleveland Browns, and now Kupp wants to do the same – only he wants to convince the top receiver to make a comeback to the Rams.

Kupp on OBJ: “Unbelievable “

“The way he was able to get into that offense, learn everything and then go out and deliver was just unbelievable,” Kupp raved to USA Today.

But it’s not just on the field, but off it as well, that OBJ clearly resonates with the Super Bowl MVP and the entire team. “Just his person, him being a teammate, the way he is, I wish nothing more than for him to come back to us. And that’s what the other receivers here want too, I know that,” Kupp stressed.

At this point, OBJ would be up for grabs and the Rams surrounding Kupp are certainly not the only franchise that would benefit from this top receiver. However, it is also clear that after Beckham’s cruciate ligament tear, it is questionable what form and condition the 29-year-old is in.
