Carolina Panthers: Is C.J. Stroud set as the number one draft pick?

The Carolina Panthers are drafting first in the 2023 NFL Draft. Quarterbacks coach Josh McCown may have inadvertently revealed who the Panthers will select at C.J. Stroud’s Pro Day.

It’s not yet clear what the Carolina Panthers will use the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft for.

Aside from the fact that the club will most likely draft one of the four major quarterback talents.

However, Panthers quarterbacks coach Josh McCown may have now inadvertently revealed who the team is leaning towards.

At C.J. Stroud’s pro day, which a delegation from Charlotte attended, reporters caught a conversation between the talent and McCown.

McCown: “If you live in Charlotte “

While talking about playing basketball against each other, the 43-year-old former pro said, “Maybe we’ll find a place if you live in Charlotte.”

In some US media, this is taken as a sign that the Panthers have opted for Stroud after their trade with the Chicago Bears.

McCown had made no secret of his enthusiasm for the 21-year-old’s abilities in the past, with his Pro Day deemed a huge success by most pundits.

Panthers delegation still at other Pro Days

Despite everything, the Panthers delegation also attended playmaker Bryce Young’s Pro Day in Alabama on Thursday.

Officials are also expected to attend the showcase of top quarterback talents Will Levis and Anthony Richardson
