The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be part of the first NFL game on German soil at the end of the year.
Munich (SID) – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be part of the first NFL game on German soil at the end of the year. The National Football League announced on Monday that the 2021 Super Bowl winners are scheduled to make their debut at Munich’s Allianz Arena. The opponent will be announced later when the full schedule is released.
The Bucs had secured marketing rights for Germany along with the Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots. Until at least 2025, one game of each Regular Season will be played in Germany, alternating between Munich and Frankfurt.
“This historic game will play an important role in setting the NFL’s footprint internationally as well,” said Buccaneers owner Joel Glazer.
