Linebacker Blake Martinez is apparently returning to the NFL. The 29-year-old had actually resigned to trade Pokemon cards. But in doing so, he apparently cheated.

According to information from “Bleacher Report”, the Carolina Panthers will sign Blake Martinez, who has actually retired.

The linebacker was still playing for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022, but ended his career almost exactly a year ago. The reason: he wanted to concentrate fully on his business, trading Pokemon cards. These often bring in several thousand euros.

However, that business seems to be going down the drain. Originally, the former Green Bay Packer ruled out playing in the NFL again.

However, as became known a few weeks ago, the Gluraks and Mews that Martinez had traded were apparently not all genuine.

He was even banned from the platform “WhatNot”, a popular exchange for Pokemon cards, and is no longer allowed to advertise offers there.

It remains to be seen on what terms the Panthers will sign him and whether he will initially be assigned to the practice squad.
