To the team, chairman George McCaskey is apparently denying reports that Chicago head coach Matt Nagy will be fired after the Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions. But a public clarification remains forthcoming.
Chicago/Munich – How long will Matt Nagy remain head coach of the Chicago Bears?
After the 13:16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, rumours were already circulating earlier this week that Nagy would definitely be fired after the Thanksgiving game at the Detroit Lions. This was reported by well-informed reporter Mark Konkol, among others.

But according to The Athletic, Bears chairman George McCaskey has already cleared up the speculation internally.
The boss himself was in the team’s dressing room and told them that Nagy would remain head coach after the Detroit game. Regardless of the result.
Fans demand sacking
Conspicuous: McCaskey and the Bears, however, failed to make a public clarification.
The franchise currently stands at just a 3-7 record and is playing a disappointing season. Nagy has been head coach since 2018 and has a 31-29 record overall.
Most recently, Bears fans clearly voiced their displeasure, chanting “Nagy out” during the loss to the Ravens. Supporters at the Chicago Bulls NBA game also chanted something similar.
