Austin Ekeler moves from the Los Angeles Chargers to the Washington Commanders

Austin Ekeler has joined the Washington Commanders, according to consistent media reports

The Washington Commanders have signed a big-name running back. This is reported by several NFL insiders. Austin Ekeler has signed for two years.

The lively ball carrier can earn up to eleven and a half million US dollars during this period. In his NFL career – he has only played for the Chargers so far – Ekeler has 4,423 rushing yards and 3,926 receiving yards. He has scored a total of 71 touchdowns.

However, the 28-year-old has recently experienced a weak phase. In 2023, he played one of the worst seasons of his career. He averaged just 3.5 yards per run, had a few drops and only managed five rushing touchdowns. In the previous two seasons, he ran into the end zone a combined 25 times.

The Chargers signed Ekeler as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He developed into one of the best running backs in the league.
