Free agency in the NFL has begun! The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with quarterback Kirk Cousins. According to NFL insiders
The Atlanta Falcons have secured the services of quarterback Kirk Cousins at the start of free agency. NFL insiders are unanimous in their reports.
The 35-year-old has signed for four seasons with the team led by new head coach Raheem Morris, who has probably found his starting quarterback. He will receive up to 180 million US dollars (100 guaranteed) from the Falcons.
Cousins has played for the Washington Commanders (2012-2017) and Minnesota Vikings (2018-2023) in his NFL career. He has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
Kirk Cousins the long-term solution?
Cousins missed the second half of the past season due to a torn Achilles tendon.
In his long NFL career, Cousins has 39,471 passing yards, 270 touchdowns and 110 interceptions.
He will now provide continuity at the quarterback position for the Falcons. Former second-round pick Desmond Ridder is likely to move to the second row for the time being.
