Arizona Cardinals: Scary moment for Budda Baker – Star defender leaves hospital

The Wild Card game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams is overshadowed by an injury to Budda Baker. The Cardinals star remains motionless on the ground after a collision and has to be taken to hospital. He has since been able to leave the hospital.

Los Angeles/Munich – The Arizona Cardinals are worried about their star safety Budda Baker after the playoff loss against the Los Angeles Rams.

The 26-year-old pass defender collided with Rams running back Cam Akers shortly before the end of the third quarter and remained motionless on the ground afterwards. Akers, who was running at a high rate of speed toward the end zone, bounced his shoulder against Baker’s lowered head, which, to make matters worse, hit the artificial turf awkwardly.

Update: Baker has since left hospital

The Cardinals have officially announced that Baker has since left the hospital. The Cards tweeted a picture of Baker on it just as he was heading home to Arizona.

The veteran was immediately treated by team doctors, and after a lengthy break for treatment, the 26-year-old was eventually wheeled off the field on a stretcher.

The Cardinals announced a short time later that Baker was conscious and able to move his arms and legs. The safety was taken to hospital for a detailed examination.

From there, he has since reached out via Twitter to let his fans know that everything is fine so far. “Thank you so much for all the prayers. I am fine,” he wrote. However, an official diagnosis is still pending.

Arizona lost in Los Angeles with 11:34 to play.
