Arizona Cardinals: NFLPA bans sale of Marvin Harrison Jr. jerseys.

Arizona Cardinals fans can’t buy jerseys of rookie receiver and top pick Marvin Harrison Jr. – and that’s likely to stay that way for now.

In the last NFL draft, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was selected fourth overall by the Arizona Cardinals. But if the Cards’ fans want to buy a jersey of the pass receiver, they will be left out in the cold.

Although the rookie has now signed his rookie deal, according to insider Ian Rapoport, the players’ union NFLPA has informed the NFL, the Cardinals and sporting goods manufacturer Fanatics that no jerseys bearing the name Harrison Jr. may be sold.

Fanatics has sued the youngster for breach of contract, which is believed to stem from an agreement made when the 21-year-old was still playing college football at Ohio State. The case has not yet been settled legally.

Although Harrison Jr. has since signed a licensing agreement with the NFLPA, the lawsuit continues to prevent the sale of jerseys.

This is particularly annoying for the Cardinals, who could make a lot of money with their top pick.
