For the first time in nearly eleven months, Kyler Murray has fully participated in Arizona Cardinals practice again. Still, his comeback on the field will likely have to wait.
Although the Arizona Cardinals are the second-worst team in the NFL with six losses in seven games, the mood at Wednesday’s practice was good.
There was one main reason for that: quarterback Kyler Murray fully participated in team practice for the first time since December. On the Cardinals’ Injury Report, he was listed as “FP,” meaning “Full Participant.”
Does that make the playmaker an option for the Week Eight game against the Baltimore Ravens? Yes and no.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon wants to take it slow. “He’s doing a good job out there,” he commented on the health of his franchise quarterback.
“We don’t want to rush it,” Gannon said. Not only because Murray has yet to learn the Cardinals’ new offense in practice, but because backup Joshua Dobbs has done a solid job so far. “We’re pleased with him. “
Whether Murray will be activated for the game against the Ravens will be decided no later than Saturday, a day before the game. Overall, the Cardinals still have about two weeks to activate the quarterback from the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list.
However, it is considered certain that at least against the Ravens, Dobbs will still get the start at quarterback for the Cardinals.
