Antonio Brown causes mega scandal for Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is fired

Antonio Brown takes off his jersey and gear and leaves the field during the game against the New York Jets.

Munich/New York – Antonio Brown’s chapter with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is in the past.

The Scandal pro slipped up again in the game against the New York Jets. During the game he took off his jersey and equipment on the sidelines and ran to the players’ tunnel.

With his shirt off, he let himself be celebrated by the fans and then left the pitch. The motivation behind this is not yet known. Brown caught three passes for 26 yards in the game.

His fellow receiver Mike Evans had apparently still tried to dissuade Brown from his action on the sidelines.

After the game, Head Coach Bruce Arians announced that Brown would be dismissed.

Arians explained on “Fox Sports” that he had wanted to bring Brown into the game several times before, but the latter refused – and then simply left. “I’ve never seen anything like that in all my years,” Arians said.

The Brown scandal file was already very long before. In 2018, the football star allegedly threw furniture out of a hotel window, nearly hitting a 22-month-old child and his grandfather. He was charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, and there were allegations of domestic violence and traffic offences. He repeatedly rebelled against the league and its teams.

Brown, however, is a close colleague of Brady’s, who brought him to the Buccaneers despite all his personal problems. Together they won the Super Bowl last season.
