Amon-Ra St. Brown reveals details of illness: “I had blisters on my feet, hands and mouth”

Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions was dealing with a corrosive illness during the Monday Night Game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Amon-Ra St. Brown has revealed he battled a painful illness during Week 8’s Monday Night Game against the Las Vegas Raiders (26-14), according to ESPN.

“It was tough. I had blisters on my feet, on my hands and on my mouth. Before the game, my hands and feet hurt a little bit, but during the game it got worse. I felt like I was walking on pins and needles,” said the 24-year-old wide receiver.

It is not clear exactly what kind of illness St. Brown was suffering from. One day before the game against the Raiders, the German-American appeared on the injury report.

“I had to play. I had already missed one too many games. I knew we had the bye week coming up, so I figured I could just tough it out,” the Lions pass receiver explained.

Despite the pain, St. Brown performed well, recording six catches for 106 yards in the Lions’ 26-14 win. He is now fit again and all his blisters have healed, according to the report.

In seven games so far, St. Brown has recorded 57 catches for 665 yards and three touchdowns. The Detroit Lions face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday after their week off.
