Aaron Rodgers keeps his cool: Pittsburgh Steelers no hurdle for ice-cold Packers

Munich – The majority of the games on the fourth day of play have been completed. While there were some surprises in the early games, the 10pm games did not disappoint either.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Green Bay Packers 17:27

Solid home win for the Green Bay Packers! Against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were plagued by injuries on the offensive side, Aaron Rodgers and Co. had little trouble to record their third win in a row.

Only in the first half did the Steelers manage to keep up offensively. With the 400th touchdown pass in Ben Roethlisberger’s career, the veteran sent Diontae Johnson on his way. The Steelers’ lead held into the second quarter, but then Aaron Rodgers turned it on.

With 248 passing yards and a total of three touchdowns, the reigning MVP led his team to the home victory. Wide receiver Randall Cobb showed his skills for the first time since his return to Green Bay, finishing the game with 69 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

“Big Ben” showed some improvement compared to the previous week, but in the end had too little impact to turn the game in the Steelers’ direction. With 232 passing yards and one touchdown, there was nothing more to be done against the Packers’ defence.

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams 37:20

Surprise in the NFC West! In a divisional duel, the Arizona Cardinals spectacularly beat the Los Angeles Rams and remain undefeated, while the hosts suffered their first defeat of the season.

Once again, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray excelled and put on another brilliant performance against the strong Rams defence. At the end of the game, the little artist had 268 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also contributed 39 rushing yards.

The so far impeccable Rams offence, on the other hand, suffered its first setback. Quarterback Matthew Stafford couldn’t get the horsepower on the field against a toxic Cardinals defence and ended up with 280 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also threw an interception.

Especially against the run, the Rams defence found no answer. Chase Edmonds and James Conner, the Cardinals’ two running backs, totalled 170 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers 28:21

Suspense pure in the second division duel of the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers demanded everything from the Seattle Seahawks, although quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo injured his groin during the game.

Rookie quarterback Trey Lance came in for him and ended up with 157 passing yards and two touchdowns. Garoppolo previously totalled 165 passing yards with one touchdown and one interception. Receiver Deebo Samuel put up a stellar performance with 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The Seattle Seahwaks, on the other hand, relied on quarterback Russell Wilson, who had an effective game with 149 yards and two touchdowns. A spectacular rushing touchdown by the superstar finally put the Seahawks on the winning track.

Baltimore Ravens at Denver Broncos 23:7

The Baltimore Ravens march on and win at the undefeated Denver Broncos. Lamar Jackson impressed through the air with 316 passing yards and a long touchdown to receiver Marquise Brown.

Due to an injury to quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, the Broncos switched to Drew Lock during the game, who allowed himself an interception in the closing seconds. The Ravens’ defence was not to be overcome in the decisive moments.
