Aaron Rodgers has confirmed that he will end his career with the Green Bay Packers. When exactly this will be the case, the reigning MVP left open.
Munich – Aaron Rodgers will end his career with the Green Bay Packers. The superstar quarterback confirmed this during a Q&A session on the sidelines of the Packers’ minicamp.
Asked if he plans to finish his career with the team that drafted him, the 38-year-old replied: “Yes, definitely!” Rodgers left it open as to when that would be.
Rodgers owns three-year contract with Packers
His newly signed three-year contract shouldn’t necessarily be an indicator of that, Rodgers explained. The reigning MVP repeatedly flirted with a departure from Green Bay in recent offseasons. Now Rodgers wants to finish his career in Wisconsin.
In 17 seasons, “A-Rod” threw for 55,360 yards and 449 touchdowns. In 2010 he won the Super Bowl with the franchise. Last season, he and the Packers failed to advance to the Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers.
