Tua Tagovailoa might well be facing the final end in the NFL after his concussions. There are initial rumours of a deal to that effect among all teams in the league.
Has Tua Tagovailoa played his last snap in the NFL yet? After his concussions this season, discussions about ending the career of the 24-year-old Miami Dolphins quarterback are in high gear.
After Tagovailoa’s elimination for Wild Card Weekend against the Buffalo Bills was officially confirmed by Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, Mike Florio of “Pro Football Talk” specifically questioned the quarterback’s future in the league.
“I think there’s going to be an agreement among all the teams that Tua will never play in the NFL again,” Florio said, “If he gets another concussion, it’s going to be THE topic on the TV shows the next morning and the NFL doesn’t want that kind of attention.”
However, teams would “not openly admit” to such collusion, Florio claims. That Tagovailoa is currently still struggling with health issues after officially suffering his second concussion was most recently made obvious by statements from Coach McDaniel.
Tua Tagovailoa’s NFL return more than questionable
Instead of thinking about the playoffs, Tagovailoa’s doctors say it’s important for him to “just think about the here and now,” the Dolphins coach reported. If and when his quarterback will be able to play again? It is more important that Tagovailoa “gets completely healthy again as a person”.
Tagovailoa was playing his best NFL season to date since joining the league in 2020 until his second serious head injury. The 24-year-old put up 25 touchdowns to eight interceptions in his 13 games and threw for 3,548 yards.
