Tom Brady criticises NFL competition: “See a lot of really bad football”.

Tom Brady, quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, went on an all-out rant during a press conference criticising the quality of games in the NFL.

Munich – Star quarterback Tom Brady doesn’t seem to be able to really enjoy the football-free time on the sofa: “I see a lot of really bad football. The quality is bad,” said the 45-year-old during a press conference before the duel against the Atlanta Falcons.

Looking at the still young season, however, there is no real trend to support this statement. On average, an NFL team scores 21.9 points per game this season.

However, offensive lines like the Buccaneers, Packers or Bengals have not really found their form yet, especially the “highlight plays” are missing more often.

Tom Brady: Mixed start to the season

Brady, for example, has completed less than a third of his passes for 20 yards, compared to 43 percent last year. The reason for the lack of success could be defensive adjustments within the league, which are primarily intended to eliminate the explosive plays through more conservative defensive line-ups.

With their 82 points scored, the Bucs rank in the middle of the standings. The top team is the Detroit Lions (140 points scored), while the bottom team is the Indianapolis Colts (57 points).
