There’s no way Tom Brady is coming back! One comment

Tom Brady has ended his NFL career – again. But now rumours are already swirling about a return. It’s well known that Brady is crazy about football and competition, but he may not come back again! One comment.

“I’m stepping down – for good!”

That’s what Tom Brady said in his self-recorded video message on a Florida beach, which he posted on his social channels in early February. The 23-year career of the most decorated NFL player in history is over – “for good”.

After users already expressed their doubts about the longevity of this decision under the post, there are now – about five weeks later – already rumours about a renewed role backwards for Brady. As a reminder: He already resigned in 2022, but revised his decision again.

But “TB12” must not make this mistake again. Because that’s exactly what it would be if he came back to the NFL again.

Brady already lost his wife

Reports say it went against Brady’s grain that he couldn’t announce his own departure in 2022. Adam Schefter, NFL insider of the channel “ESPN” had leaked the plans of “Tom Terrific”. The confirmed the leak, but played the Uno Reverse card a few weeks later and came back to the NFL.

The result: his wife, Brazilian super model Gisele Bündchen, filed for divorce. She is said to have persuaded Brady to finally step back and spend more time with her and their children together. Before the season even started, the divorce became official. A causal connection was never confirmed, but is obvious.

Although Brady played an objectively good season, it was rather average by his standards. He was already eliminated in the Wild Card Round, which the Tampa Bay Buccaneers only reached because the NFC South was the weakest division in the league.

New comeback? Please don’t!

Although rumours of another comeback should be taken with a grain of salt: Please don’t do it, Tom! Father Time always wins in the end, even if you gave him the longest and best fight.

This isn’t about not wanting to see Brady’s excellence on the court again, but much more about the possibility of him tearing into his arguably unattainable legacy. In 2021, he was still playing at an MVP level – the last time in his career.

He no longer needs wins, Pro Bowls or even Super Bowls to prove he’s the most successful quarterback in history. There is no doubt about that in anyone’s mind who knows anything about football and evaluates it objectively.

So it’s time for the Californian to put his feet up – “for good”. No one has earned it like he has.
