Taylor Swift was a guest on Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” — and surprised listeners with her football knowledge.

It was probably the most eagerly awaited podcast episode in the history of podcasts.

Taylor Swift was a guest on the latest episode of “New Heights,” the podcast hosted by her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and his brother Jason.

While the highlight of the two-hour show for Swifties was her announcement of her new album “The Life of a Showgirl,” which will be released on October 3, she also surprised NFL fans with her knowledge of the past two seasons.

Taylor Swift: “I thought Josh Allen and Jared Goff were going to fight each other.”

Before she met Travis, she literally had no clue about football. “I thought that on one side there was Josh Allen, for example, and on the other side there was Jared Goff — and then they fight each other,” the pop star explained.

However, she often showed during the two hours that she is more than just a player’s wife. At the 2024 NFL Draft, she was delighted when the Chiefs selected wide receiver Xavier Worthy because she thought he would be a good fit.

She can now even recognize different coverages in pass defense. “Cover 2, Cover 4, Cover 0, we talk about that now. I’ve fallen in love with football, I can’t get enough of it!“

She also admits: ”I didn’t even know what a first down was.”

The YouTube premiere of the podcast, which started at 1:00 a.m. German time, had around 1.3 million viewers at its peak.
