Rob Gronkowski before comeback? Gronk makes an announcement about return rumors

That would be something! According to a media report, Rob Gronkowski is said to be thinking about a comeback. Now Gronk himself has spoken out – and revealed his plans.

Rob Gronkowski has won the Super Bowl four times and actually retired from his NFL career in 2022.

However, journalist and podcaster Cecil Lammey reports on the pages of the radio station “Denver Sports 104.3” that “Gronk” has not yet had enough and is considering a comeback.

According to various sources, the tight end is ready to return to the field. And according to Lammey, Gronkowski would love to play for the Denver Broncos.

On the one hand, because he has worked with head coach Sean Payton as a TV expert. On the other hand, because he is said to be impressed by young Broncos quarterback Bo Nix.

comeback? Gronk denies according to journalist

And indeed, the Broncos could also use a reliable and experienced tight end to give Nix another option in the passing game.

Gronkowski himself is said to have kept fit and most recently trained in the winter sports resort of Vail in the mountains of Colorado. This would mean that he is well prepared for the thin air in Denver.

But what does Gronk himself say? Fox Sports reporter Jordan Schultz asked Gronkowski about a possible comeback, and received a clear denial in response.

“Crazy, bro! They must know something about me that I don’t know myself,” Schultz quotes the former NFL star as saying. And further: ”I wish I had powers like that, that would be cool. But I just spent a few days in Australia. Now it’s time to get some rest. No football.”

A few hours earlier, Ian Rapoport, the most well-known NFL insider, had already denied the rumor with the simple words on X: “No. Nonsense.”

But at least “Gronk” returned after his first official retirement from the New England Patriots in 2019 and won his fourth Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady in the spring of 2021.
