Former NFL punter and current host Pat McAfee has extended a sponsorship deal with betting provider “FanDuel” for his own show “The Pat McAfee Show”. The deal is expected to bring well over $100 million into McAfee’s coffers.
Munich – It sounds like a mega-contract for an active NFL star that Pat McAfee has landed.
Four years, around 120 million dollars – figures that almost every NFL player probably dreams of. Only the former punter doesn’t earn the money for his performances on the football field. With the deal, the betting provider “FanDuel” has secured the right to be the only betting site to sponsor his programme “The Pat McAfee Show”. This is reported by “The Athletic”.
The new deal gets even crazier when you compare the contract to McAffe’s NFL contracts. In eight years as a punter with the Indianapolis Colts, the now-presenter earned “only” $13.5 million – total!
Aaron Rodgers as a regular
Even many of the league’s current superstars are just looking down the barrel compared to their own deal to McAfee. Only nine quarterbacks currently make more money than McAfee receives from his new sponsor.
McAfee hosts his own show four times a week, commenting on current NFL events with experts and players. His most famous active guest, Aaron Rodgers, takes questions from the former punter every week. On McAfee, Rodgers commented for the first time on his concerns about the Corona vaccination, among other things.
