Is Joe Burrow or Josh Allen the best young quarterback after Patrick Mahomes? Cornerback Richard Sherman has a clear opinion on the matter
Who is the better young quarterback? Josh Allen or Jow Burrow?
Burrow beat out Allen and the Buffalo Bills last Sunday with the Cincinnati Bengals. For cornerback Richard Sherman, who is without a club, the issue seems clear.
“If you’re talking about elite quarterbacks, Joe Burrow is above Josh Allen,” the 34-year-old said in a video interview. “You can’t put him above (Patrick) Mahomes. Mahomes has been MVP and probably will be this season. But then Burrow comes in – not Josh Allen or the other creative players. “
Allen’s advance praise has been used up
While also openly criticising Allen: “His stats look similar to last season. But if you look at the videos, he’s not playing the same way. He doesn’t look like he’s comfortable. He threw right into coverage a lot. I’m tired of giving players the advance praise when they don’t deserve it anymore. “
Sherman does once again specifically praise Allen’s performances last season, “But the credit for that is gone. I want to see performances.”
This, he said, Allen failed to do against the Bengals. Burrow, on the other hand, “took everything that was on the plate. “
