Pro Bowl: Snoop Dogg and Pete Davidson become Team Captains of the AFC and NFC

This year’s Pro Bowl will be held in a new format. Among other things, the AFC and NFC will play each other in individual competitions and flag football. The team captains of the NFC and AFC come from the US rap and comedy scene.

Eli and Peyton Manning get celebrity support in the upcoming Pro Bowl.

Rapper Snoop Dogg is backing the older Manning brother as team captain of the AFC, while the younger brother will be joined by comedian Pete Davidson, according to People magazine.

“I’m returning to the NFL stage. But this time, not for a performance, but a competition. I’m going up against Pete to win the title for Pro Bowl champion,” the rapper told Rice. “Peyton, the AFC team, we’re going to end up on top of the podium. ”

This will be Snoop Dogg’s second consecutive appearance at a major NFL event, following his halftime show at last year’s Super Bowl.

Pro Bowl: US stars and new format

For Davidson, the reason to participate seems to be more of a family one. He explained that he was taking part “to impress his Uncle Mike”. The former member of “Saturday Night Life” is also said to be a fan of the New York Giants and Eli Manning.

The two US stars will simultaneously be part of the new format in the Pro Bowl, which has also been changed with this year after many fans complained. Instead of a traditional game, there will now be various skill challenges spread over a week and a total of three flag football games at the Las Vegas Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium.

Players such as Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams have been called up for the AFC, while names such as Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce and A.J. Brown appear on the NFC roster. However, if nominated players make it to the Super Bowl, they do not compete in the Pro Bowl and other players move up.
