For allegedly molesting a restaurant owner, the brother of Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes is now facing charges. His lawyer denies the allegations.

Jackson Mahomes allegedly assaulted the owner and a waiter at a south Kansas City restaurant.

As reported by the “Kansas City Star”, the 22-year-old brother of the Chiefs quarterback entered the “Aspen Restaurant and Lounge” together with five friends on Saturday evening last week.

According to the report, they first pushed a young waiter, who was trying to get a water bottle in an office, several times.

Later, they say, Mahomes grabbed owner Aspen Vaughn by the neck in her office and kissed her at least twice without her consent. The grip was said to have been so violent that it left a slight bruise on Vaughn’s neck. Vaughn is the stepmother of a friend of Mahomes, which is why the two know each other well.

She believed that Mahomes had consumed marijuana and alcohol that evening, the report continues. According to her statements, the police analysed the video from the surveillance camera and informed her that they wanted to file charges of sexual assault against Mahomes.

On the video, she can be seen being harassed and forcibly kissed by Mahomes.

“I was in shock,” Vaughn told The Kansas City Star. She had rebuked Mahomes and told him he had lost his mind.

The waiter did not initially press charges and was not sure if he would, they say.

Mahomes lawyer rejects allegations

Meanwhile, Mahomes’ lawyer vehemently denied the allegations against his client.

“Jackson did nothing wrong,” Brandan Davies said. “Our investigation has turned up substantial evidence that refutes the claims of Jackson’s accuser, including the testimony of several witnesses.”

He had approached law enforcement to provide them with the results of their investigation “so they can get a full picture of the matter”, the lawyer said.

Jackson Mahomes has benefited from his brother’s popularity for years and already has over a million followers on Tik Tok. He produces many videos while watching his brother’s games on the ground.

However, he has also often attracted attention for reckless and rude behaviour. Now, for the first time, this behaviour could have serious consequences for him.
