Quarterback legend Tom Brady joins Las Vegas Raiders. The seven-time Super Bowl champion will become a shareholder in the NFL franchise, owner Mark Davis confirmed to ESPN. “We are excited to have Tom join the Raiders,” the entrepreneur said. The Pro Football League still has to approve the deal.

Brady, 45, who ended his career in the spring after 23 seasons in the NFL, is only the third former player after George Halas and Jerry Richardson to buy shares in an NFL club.

Davis, who brought the Raiders to the gambling city from Oakland, also owns the Las Vegas Aces, champions of the WNBA women’s basketball league. Brady has also been a minority owner there since March.
